Yogi Berra - "I never said most of the things I said."

Surprise, surprise:
According to platinum rapper Eminem's mom, Debbie Nelson, Slim Shady is a manic depressive who has lost control of his life.
Nelson has released a tell-all book about her son entitled My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem, in which she says the superstar has battled depression for years. According to Nelson, Eminem's condition worsened after his ex-wife Kim Mathers gave birth to their daughter Hailie, who is 11. She said his mood has become even more dangerous since Em and Kim split for a second time in 2006.
A family friend told Life and Style magazine, "[Debbie] just hopes he'll read [the book] and realize how loved he is. She fears she'll end up burying him unless he gets help ... We all see him teetering on the edge of self-destruction."
Em and his mother have been involved in a bitter feud for years, and he rapped about his hatred for her in a string of popular singles. Nelson even hit her son with a $7 million lawsuit in 2002, claiming defamation. But reportedly, Em had a change of heart when his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and he agreed to foot the medical bill in excess of $200,000.
My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem is available in the UK now and will hit the U.S. market in 2008.

Pop the trunk, hit the deck! Ju-ju still catches mad motherfuckin wreck:
Rapper Ju-Ju, one half of Queens, NY based duo The Beatnuts, was arrested following a performance in Stockholm, Sweden on Thursday night (December 13). According to Sweden’s The Local, Ju-Ju—whose real name is Jerry Tineo—was taken into custody and charged with assault after a minor fight broke out following the group’s set at the Debaser Medis venue. Police spokesman Bo Olsson told The Local that the charges were relatively minor and had the rapper been a Swedish citizen, he would have been released the same night. However, since he is considered a possible flight risk, Ju-Ju could be held for as long as 36 hours. Olsson also noted that the rapper has denied committing any offense. Annelie Ã…kerstedt, managing director of Debaser Medis, disputed the MC’s account that the show’s security guards had not fulfilled their duties. “That’s pure bullshit. The security did the job they are supposed to do. They didn’t let anybody backstage who wasn’t supposed to be there. They intervened quickly and called the police, exactly as they should,” Ã…kerstedt told the Swedish paper Expessen.

8 Diagrams Tour
(Or depending on who you ask the Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang tour)
The Metro, Chicago, IL
December 15, 2007
If you would have told me when I was 13 years old, back in 1993, when I used to watch Rap City (A.C.T.)* everyday in my bedroom, that one day I would be all-access/backstage with the Clan, I probably would’ve looked at you like you were Rocky Dennis.
In my “humble” opinion, these guys are more than just Hip Hop stars or legends in the game, they are Superheroes. Few artists, (especially in Hip Hop) are able to maintain such star power and longevity in this business – something the Wu has mastered over the last 15 years. They are Hip Hop’s ultimate cult, complete with a Jonestown stable of followers who are more than willing to drink the punch.
Last night, Chicago faced blizzard-like conditions. It was a nasty night for a concert, yet fans looking for tickets to the sold out , first stop on the 8 Diagrams tour, waited outside in line for hours – chanting “Wu-Tang, Wu-Tang”, among other things. In fact, the weather was so bad the Wu had trouble navigating their tour bus down Clark Street and parking at the venue.
Prior to the Wu taking the stage, the opening acts, local artists, Chicago hip hop “who’s who” and select “couch warmers” (© Killah Priest) were all backstage patiently waiting for the Wu to emerge from their dressing room. Once they were ready to take the stage, the security came through like gangbusters and cleared everyone out of the hallway and access area. No one, even the most VIP of VIP, was able to be backstage any longer unless you were personally invited by a Wu-Tang member (my boy M-Eighty was lucky enough to have been cleared, and took some super exclusive footage that I will post on the site as soon as it becomes available to me). The rest of us were shuffled off to the “VIP” balcony where we had a pretty incredible view.
When the Wu stormed the stage to “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nothin’ To Fuck With” pandemonium broke loose in the crowd. 10 years ago it was “a thousand white teens in tight jeans”, and that line still holds true, except the teens are now twenty-somethings. All members, with the exception of the RZA showed up for the performance – even Cap, who earlier in the week, in an interview here, claimed he was going to be in Las Vegas, was on stage. Killah Priest and Street Life also joined the rest of the Clan. To reiterate, we had: Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Masta Killah, GZA, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Cappadonna, Street Life, Mathematics and Killah Priest on stage.
As I’m sure you read earlier in the week (on my site, or many like it) the RZA is not joining the rest of the Clan on tour. RZA cited his “solo tour” as why he decided to pull-out, but it’s quite obvious if you’ve been following the Wu drama over the past few weeks why he’s not involved. It was sad to see Bobby Digital missing from the collective, and as much as I hate to say this, they didn’t seem to miss a step without him. No mention was made of RZA last night. Not even in any of Raekwon’s rants. In fact, RZA’s verses were performed by the other members onstage.
8 Diagrams and The Big Doe Rehab were plugged throughout the evening and no slander was thrown towards 8 Diagrams. However, in the merchandise booths the Wu were selling “Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang” t-shirts. Not sure I want to support that just yet.
No songs from 8 Diagrams were performed.
RAP IS OUTTA CONTROL.
