Hit-making singer Nate Dogg’s legal drama continues to mount as multiple felony charges were made against the entertainer that include stalking his estranged wife.
The rapper was charged with two felony counts related to a June 23 incident in which the crooner allegedly chased his 38-year-old girlfriend down the 405 freeway in Los Angeles while allegedly threatening to kill her.
According to police documents, Nate Dogg, born Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, did "willfully and unlawfully threaten to commit a crime which would result in death and great bodily injury to ‘Latoya C,’ with the specific intent that the statement be taken as a threat."
The felony complaint further noted that ‘Latoya C’ "was reasonably in sustained fear of his/her safety and the safety of his/her immediate family" based upon the nature of the criminal threats.
The third felony charge stemmed from a June 23 incident where Hale allegedly stalked Latoya C "with the intent that she be placed in reasonable fear for her safety and the safety of her immediate family" after the Grammy-nominated crooner made what was described as a "credible threat."
In addition to the felony charges, Hale was cited with a misdemeanor for driving with a suspended license from a prior DUI conviction on the same day as the stalking.
The charge was labeled as the singer’s fourth count in the complaint.
A statement released by the California Highway Patrol revealed that a 911 call was made by a woman identifying herself as the rapper’s wife.
Nate Dogg was arrested after authorities confirmed the woman’s statements and intercepted the vehicles.
He was arrested and later released from the Twin Towers jail in Los Angeles on June 24 after posting a $50,000 bond.

Four of the most recognizable - and possibly most underrated - female rappers in recent years are being united by a new project that aims to renew the female emcee's presence in commercial Hip-Hop.
Babs Bunny, Lady Luck, Amil, and the Lady of Rage have come together to create the Females Earning Money, or FEM Movement.
The four women are hoping to reap the benefits of unity without losing their individual solo status, explains co-executive producer Uneek, who developed the new Movement alongside popular New York radio personality and former Yo! MTV Raps host Ed Lover.
A former rapper herself, Uneek currently manages both Babs and Lady Luck and is fully aware of the difficulties women face in Hip-Hop.
"Females don't come together enough and we need to show unity and cohesiveness," said the former Bounce Squad member of her vision. "Men do it all the time and now it's our time to stand up, stand together and make some money. FEM gives these talented women an opportunity to come together as a movement to show the power that we have when we work as a team."
Despite having been ushered into the world of Hip-Hop by some of the most prominent crews in the game, some more than a decade ago, all four artists are aware of the current status of their careers.
"None of us are amateurs," said Babs, the last of the four to enter popular consciousness, via MTV's Making of The Band 2 in 2002. "We are all very talented and we have all worked with major artists in the industry,” Babs said. “Rage with Dr. Dre and Snoop, Amil with Jay-Z, Luck with Def Jam and EPMD and myself with Diddy. But at the same time we all still have something to prove."
"A lot of people have been wondering what happened to the female emcees," explained Hip-Hop pioneer Ed Lover. "Well these ladies are about to prove that they are here and they are better than ever! The FEM Movement is great for the future of Hip-Hop! This is the perfect time to do a project like this."
The FEM Movement's first collective project, a new mixtape hosted by DJ Doo Wop, is currently in the works and has recruited the involvement of other high-profile female artists, including Rah Digga.
The as-yet-untitled mixtape will be followed-up with a tour.

SOMEBODY WRITING ABOUT ALANA WYATT, SAUKRATES'S BABY'S MOMS. I DON'T LIKE THE TERM 'GROUPIE' OR 'HO', THAT'S SOME BULLLLLSHIT. LET A WOMAN DO WHAT THE FUCK SHE WANTS!
www.allhiphop.com
Wow, Alana Wyatt. This gal's interview on Dirty and the Beast was a mess. This chick dropped so many bombs my lame ass 60 wpm couldn't keep up. Now I have to admit, I didn't believe half of what she said; but that made it no less entertaining. The commitment and sincerity is this young bobble heads voice was so endearing. Seriously. She was really trying to play down her alleged groupie ways, but betrayed herself constantly because she couldn't hush long enough to censor what she was saying. Classic. Now the interview was almost 40 minutes long so I can't tell you everything, but here is the earth shattering ish from the interview, in my interview.
1. Mos Def did not hit her. He just pinned her down, yelled and made faces.
2. She has a 7th grade education. Now I'm not sure what the grade system is like in Canada, but that doesn't sound too high to me.
3. Her life's goal is to drive a BMW X5.
4. If this was a true tell all, Superhead would have nothing on her and the book would be 4,000 pages long.
5. She decided not to give the full names of the athletes she's messed with out of respect for their wives and kids. Instead she will just give first and last initial along with the team he plays for, the team he's being traded to and his complete last years stats. And if you're smart, you can crack the code.
6. She waffled between yes I'm a groupie and no I'm not, then she went on to say she's messed with all the top dogs in the NBA, plus Socrates, plus Mos Def, plus some guy in Jagged Edge, plus some NFL player, plus some soccer player. But she never got around to giving the goodies to Shaq because the timing was never right.
7. Now she wants Weezy.

AND THEN THIS SHIT COMES UP:
According to Chicago Sun Times columnist Bill Zwecker, West is being asked to tame his temper in order to be more attractive to potential advertisers. He writes, “A West insider tells me the entertainer’s own management team dreamed up the idea, for two reasons: to help his personal psychological well-being and relationship with friends — and to aid in him snaring lucrative endorsement deals.”
Two major companies are reportedly interested in working with Kanye - including an auto company and a cosmetics/fragrance firm. However, the corporations are concerned about “how easy he’ll be to work with.” And the anger management isn’t just about business. Apparently, West’s tantrums have harmed his personal life as well. “Not only has Kanye estranged himself from some pretty important people in the music business, but his temper has driven away a number of longtime friends,” Zwecker’s source said.

I JUST GOT THE VIBE ISSUE WITH HIM ON IT... URSHER IS INTERESTING:
Usher is said to have been disappointed that it sold 433,000 in its first week, compared with his last CD, 2004’s “Confessions,” which had sales of 1.1 million in its first seven days. “Usher was livid!,” claims an insider. “He threatened to fire everyone.”
“People have been telling Usher to listen to his mother,” says a source. “Nobody knows how to sell him better than she does. Usher can be stubborn. But he may be ready.”Some claim Usher pink-slipped his mom because she failed to show proper deference to his stylist-turned-girlfriend-turned-wife, Tameka Foster. But now that Foster has given her a grandson, the two ladies are said to be getting along better. Usher, for one, denies he fired his mom. Rather, he tells Vibe, “[I paid her] the ultimate compliment - to retire her to be a full-time grandmother.”
Patton has actually been busy running her own record label and managing other artists, including Usher’s brother, Jlack. But sources say that if Usher cries momma, she’s there for him.

I STILL WANT TO HEAR SOME NEW ROYCE 5'9" SHIT!
This past weekend, a 14-track "album" by Royce Da 5'9" called The Revival leaked on the Internet, eliciting a quick reply from the Detroit emcee.
“To the people listening, it’s not even near what the album is,” said Royce to MichiganHipHop.com. “It ain’t nothing but old copies of certain shit. … Some of the songs, I still plan on using, but it’s such a rough and old copy, it’s not even worth listening to because it’s going to sound like such a different project by the time it comes out.”
Although artists rarely find who the people behind leaking their material are, Royce seems to have a pretty good idea. “Somebody from back in the day, who thinks I don’t know who he is,” said the rapper, describing the man behind the leak. Royce followed by saying the situation would be dealt with appropriately.
“[Bar Exam II] is all I’ve been working on lately,” said Royce of his upcoming mixtape, due to hit the Internet for free download on August 26. “When they actually get the project, it’ll have a whole lot of new shit on there they haven’t heard, along with the shit that’s been leaked strategically. It’s going to be every sense of a mixtape. The way real mixtapes used to be, that’s what it’s going to be.”
Royce also spoke on Street Hop, his anticipated full-length album executive produced by the legendary DJ Premier, explaining it would hit stores in late October.
The rapper also touched on recently canceled shows in Norway. He explained that the night before at a show in Saigon, before his first scheduled performance, Royce literally broke his left arm while pinning a fan's hand on a table in an arm wrestling match. Royce spoke on the matter in a video blog on his Myspace page (http://myspace.com/roycefivenine), explaining that he went through emergency room surgeries and that the pain forced him to miss four shows.
“They got onstage and said I wasn’t going to be performing, and since the people had seen me the night before and knew I was in town, they got mad and they started fighting in there,” said Royce, who rescheduled the shows for September. “It was like a big ass riot in there. So I’ve definitely got to go back.”

C-Rayz Walz and Prodigy are virtual polar opposites, as distinct as rappers can be: underground and commercial; G-Unit and independent. But at the Midstate Correctional Facility in Marcy, New York the two find the middle ground, discovering any differences between underground and mainstream rap can be reconciled.
When one focused on lyrics and wordplay to build a buzz, the other used gangsta imagery and slick production to make it to the top. And while some artists—like a ’95 Jay-Z or a ’99 Eminem—catapulted from underground fame to superstardom, the two genres (like the two rappers) never really interacted until now—and it took the permission of the New York State Department of Corrections to get it done.
So for the first time in rap history, a backpacker interviews a commercial rapper—in jail.
C-Rayz Walz: You're still that same nigga I used to wild out with back in the days. With all of the shadiness in this industry, how do stay grounded without totally losing it and really doing some violent shit?
Prodigy: Really, it’s my partner [Havoc] you know what I mean. My name should be Havoc and his name should be Prodigy. That’s our character really. I’ll be ready to really hurt somebody and Hav will be the one to tell me, "Yo chill. Don’t do that. We gotta worry about our careers." We keep each other balanced. Hav will be the one that will chill me the fuck out. Sometimes it’s opposite. But most of the time, he’ll be the one to tell me to chill the fuck out.
C-Rayz Walz: I always want people to ask me this but they never do. What made you realize that you wanted to make music for a living instead of a full life of crime?
Prodigy: I was raised by good parents and a family that influenced me to do positive things in life. Instead of criminal things, you know what I’m saying. I ended up doing music, and doing something good with myself.
C-Rayz Walz: Is/are there anyone out right now that you're feeling? Why/why not?
Prodigy: That’s a hard question, but there are a few people. Lil Wayne [click to read], he got fire right now. I like Juelz Santana [click to read]. He got fire. There’s not too many people I’m feeling though, man. Of course, the love of my G-Unit [click to read] brothers is doing it. Tony Yayo—he be killing it all the time; 50 [Cent] of course. People like to talk down on Mobb Deep and G-Unit for some strange reason. Like, "[Why they] thinking they hot?" or some shit. Like it’s wrong for me to think that 50’s hot or Yayo’s hot. People would think that’s the wrong kind of answer, but, those are my answers.
C-Rayz Walz: Of all the collabs you've done, what's been your favorite and why?
Prodigy: I don’t even know. I can’t even say, man. I don’t even know man. Probably…maybe like, working with [Big] Pun on ["Tres Leches"]. He was just a fun dude to be around. That dude was mad funny, yo. I had a lot of fun with that nigga. Hanging out with Pun was crazy. The song we did was one of the illest songs in rap music. RZA [click to read] did the beat. It was me, Pun and Inspectah Deck [click to read] from Wu-Tang. It was an ill song.
C-Rayz Walz: True Mobb fans have been die hard from the beginning, why do you think they remain loyal after so long?
Prodigy: Because they were like raised on our music and we try to always give that same feeling when we do our beats and our lyrics. We try to make something that you gonna feel in your soul. It’s like soul music. I think the fans, they identify with that. They know that Mobb Deep is gonna give you that shit. It’s a certain fix. It’s a certain high that you know you’re not gonna get from no where else but listening to our music. I’m gonna say things that no one else is gonna ever say and you’re gonna have a style of production that no one else can really do.
C-Rayz Walz: So many groups fall apart and have beef after a while together. How have you and Hav managed to stay strong after so long?
Prodigy: Me and Hav are like brothers, man. The way we just came up together, our friendship was real close. We understand that the music that we make is real important. Our goal was to last longer than these other groups. We always strived to last longer than them, be better than them.
That was our goal, and it still is.
C-Rayz Walz: What took place between Juvenile Hell and The Infamous to spark two different vibes on the albums?
Prodigy: Just [being] kids growing up and realizing that you gotta take music serious in order to last in this business. When we made Juvenile Hell we was little kids just happy to be on TV and have a record to have a little money to buy gold teeth. Then when the album ain’t do too well, we realized that if you want a real long lasting career in this business we had to take this music seriously, and that’s the difference between those two albums.
C-Rayz Walz: Do you believe a lot of women are really strong enough to ride a bid with a man or will most of them get weak?
Prodigy: A few of them, yeah, they strong. A lot of women are weak. A lot of people are weak. Not just women. A lot of people who I thought was friends—niggas—I don’t see them. I don’t hear from them. They don’t visit me. I don’t get no letters, no messages, nothing. It goes both sides—men and women.
C-Rayz Walz: Have you been shot or stabbed famz?
Prodigy: Nah. Somebody tried to stab me in the face when I was a kid, but nah.
C-Rayz Walz: Who has been the most influential person in your life thus far?
Prodigy: I would have to say my grandmother.
C-Rayz Walz: What's the best piece of advice you ever received from him?
Prodigy: From my grandmother—about money, about real estate, about business. She told me how to be the head nigga in charge. That was her name. That’s where I got [H.N.I.C.] from.
C-Rayz Walz: Out of all the places you've performed at, which was the livest?
Prodigy: Livest? Definitely I would have to say London. We was performing on stage and the crowd was going crazy. They came on stage with us like they was performing. We had to control them like we was security because security was scared to death.
C-Rayz Walz: What's your favorite Mobb album and why?
Prodigy: My favorite Mobb album gotta be The Infamous. All of them is crazy, but if I gotta pick one its gotta be The Infamous. That was the one that set the mark for us to let the world know that we wasn’t playing with this shit. We were serious.
C-Rayz Walz: Who would you love to collab with on a track?
Prodigy: I want to do a song with Queen Latifah and Sista Souljah.
C-Rayz Walz: What do you feel are the most important things you can teach your seeds even if you're not around? ‘Cause we don't live forever my ninja…
Prodigy: The most important thing man is just being a kind, peaceful generous person. Be positive. Be a good person—as best as you possibly can. Violence and hate is the last result.
C-Rayz Walz: What are the most essential qualities you look for in a queen to share yourself with? How do you determine she's really in it, or just for your name?
Prodigy: Experience. You gotta go through it in order to know. You gotta know the woman, know the girl. You really gotta be involved in order to find out what’s really good. Otherwise, you’ll never know.
C-Rayz Walz: Tell me some non-musical things most people may not know about P.
Prodigy: That I’m an author. I write books, I write movies—I got a whole lot of scripts I’m working on. When I’m done with music, that’ll be the next step in the business. I try to eat real healthy. I’m not into drinking and smoking no more. I’m a very spiritual person. I don’t have a religion. I don’t believe in these religions out here but I’m very spiritual. I believe in a Creator. A lot of people may not know that about me.
C-Rayz Walz: How do you feel about drug dealers and the drug game in 2008?
Prodigy: I mean, hey. People do what they gotta do but I feel like people need to get into other things. There’s a lot of other things that you could get into. Try music, try sports. There’s a whole world of things you could get into. Stop trying to follow what everybody else is doing. Stop looking at the next man and say how I could be there too. Create your own thing to do. Be an inventor. Most of the things in this world was invented by black people. Even if you’re not black though, just strive to be innovative. Do something different with yourself. Everybody don’t gotta sell drugs, everybody don’t have to have a clothing company, a record label. There’s other things you could get into.
C-Rayz Walz: If you were to leave this Earth right now, what do you want to be remembered by?
Prodigy: Just remember us by our career and how we lasted so long. How we kept it consistent and how we kept coming with some good sounding music. [Pauses] And also, I guess that I wasn’t scared to speak my mind about shit. A lot of people are scared to speak their mind. I feel like you’re not really living life if you’re biting your tongue. People are too scared—they’re scared of dying, scared of getting beat up. You shouldn’t be scared of anything. You should just say how you feel and that’s it. You got freedom of speech [and] freedom of expression.
