Seriously, who's still passionate about the music these super-rich, second childhood-living, materialistic, selfish thugs do anymore? They had the whole hip hop world in the palm of their hand at the end of 2005, and you can see evidence of such, on the cover of XXL, where they were all dressed in black leather and ice grilling the photographer like she peed on their collective Corn Flakes. It's a wonderful snapshot in hip hop time, and looking back at it now, it's insane to think of how much the G-Unit Crew did NOT translate their imminent dominance into at least ONE platinum plaque, much less the dozen or so that were supposed to easily earn. Lloyd Banks? Nope. Young Buck? Nah. Ma$e?! Nyet. M.O.P.? More like "Bueller? Bueller?" Olivia? Sadly she was dropped like third grade calculus. Spider Loc? Album release: Neveruary 36th, 2098. Everyone else? Fucked. And nobody cares only cause G-Unit acts like they don't care... about anybody. And that's not hip hop.

People just don't care anymore. not the ghetto, cause poor people know that the Gorilla Unit members are wholly disconnected from the ghetto, and point and laugh at their poverty with reckless abandon. cue "(I'm Not a) Window Shopper" by 50 "Bleeding Heart Liberal" Cent for your last update on how much he cares about you and I.

And even the whitest, blue-bandana-in-the-mirror-wearing, mom's Escalade-borrowin', Icy Hot Stuntin' suburbanites know that these thugs can't be doing as much dirt as they say they do... cause Interscope is breathing down their neck and making sure they don't fuck up their first week sales too much with the ever-popular CPS's (rap-patented 'Criminal Publicity Stunts') that precede any major label rapper's next album. I wonder if they think of the perfect image-bolstering crimes: ones bad enough to get headlines in, but good enough to not land them in the slammer for a long enough time to fuck up promotion of their upcoming LP! Oh, it's all so insane now... but on a more serious note:

50 Cent is too smart to keep up this charade forever! I hate how fake people have to be to really create success in this industry, it's unbelievable!

That's not to discredit or ignore (we don't ignore ANYTHING at Rap is Outta Control) the great humanitarian efforts of 50 Cent such as the G-Unity Foundation or the $80.50 Reebok trainers that had $0.50 from every shoe going to an inner-city charity... but seriously, how wack is it for people to be so hypocritical?

People on his level seem to be satisfied in the ability to pretend they are not very generous or caring, cause I guess "kindness is taken as weakness," which is some super bullshit anyways, but I digress.

Why would you want to be seen as so dichotomous? you are helpful and caring sometimes, but a cold-hearted killer all other times. what purpose does that serve, especially when you just made 400 MILLION DOLLARS with your stake in GlaceauWater, that was bought by Coca-Cola?! why you gotta make a face like this:

50 Cent does amazing interviews though. I would LOVE to sit down and talk to him and ask some REAL questions, not like the ones that many magazines ask cause they're too afraid to ponder Wendy Williams' Hip Hop Weekly statements of speculation, such as the shopping mall security guard who allegedly was openly being flirted with and hit on by 50 "No Homo" Cent. Check the Dipset Beef issue with Cam'ron "I Got Sucker Punched by Tru-Life" Giles and Jim "I Pretend I Run DipSet" Jones on the cover, and read as much rap insanity as your little noggin can eat up.
